Ridgecon is a community-driven convention in Ridgecrest, CA, celebrating pop culture, gaming, technology, and local talent. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where attendees can learn, explore, and have fun. By entering Ridgecon, you agree to follow the guidelines below so everyone can enjoy the event safely.
Convention Rules
- Respect and Conduct
- Treat everyone—staff, vendors, and attendees—with courtesy and respect.
 - Discriminatory, aggressive, or harassing behavior is not tolerated.
 
 - Entry Requirements
- Attendees must present their official receipt for admission to convention areas.
 - Unauthorized sharing of receipts is prohibited.
 - If you have any issues with your receipt, visit the Registration Desk for assistance.
 
 - Cosplay and Costumes
- Costumes should be family-friendly. Offensive or excessively revealing attire may be disallowed at staff discretion.
 - Prop weapons must be inspected and peace-bonded by staff. Real weapons or those that appear too realistic are not permitted.
 
 - Vendor and Exhibitor Guidelines
- All goods and displayed materials must be suitable for a general audience.
 - Vendors must comply with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., sales tax, licensing).
 - Keep your area neat, and follow the setup/teardown schedule provided by the convention staff.
 
 - Photography and Media
- By entering Ridgecon, you consent to being photographed or recorded (video/audio), and these images or recordings may be used for promotional purposes.
 - Attendees are welcome to take casual photos or videos. However, always ask permission before photographing or recording other attendees.
 - Professional media representatives must register and display credentials at all times.
 
 - Prohibited Items and Activities
- Illegal substances, outside alcoholic beverages, fireworks, and any real weapons are strictly banned.
 - Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
 - Large props or items that obstruct walkways or create safety hazards may be restricted.
 
 - Lost & Found
- Any found items should be dropped off at the Information Booth.
 - If you lose an item, check with the Information Booth or contact us after the event to see if it has been turned in.
 
 - Compliance with Local Laws
- Follow all local and state ordinances regarding public health, safety, and conduct.
 - Show respect for Ridgecrest’s local businesses and neighborhoods to help maintain a positive community image.
